Pierette Domenica Simpson

Ms. Simpson's roots, the Piedmont of Italy, and her immigration to the U.S. on the ill-fated voyage on the Andrea Doria in 1956 have laid the foundation for her life mission and careers: foreign language teacher, author, speaker, documentarian, actress, produces, and historian-gatekeeper of Andrea Doria survivor stories.  The latter led to three publications: Alive on the Andrea Doria! The Greatest Sea Rescue in History, L'ultima notte dell'Andrea Doria, and I Was Shipwrecked on the Andrea Doria! The Titanic of the 1950s.  Simpson's new docufilm, "Andrea Doria: Are the Passengers Saved?" is based on her books.
