New Standard Equities

Edward Ring, CEO, founded New Standard Equities in 2010 as a vehicle to facilitate new investment in and professional turnaround management for well-located, high quality apartment assets.  Formerly, the COO for Kennedy Wilson Multifamily, Mr. Ring's 23 years of experience includes providing strategic leadership for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing new projects, business plan development, optimizing capital structures and actively overseeing the projects' execution phase from cradle to grave.
Mr. Ring's transaction volume exceeds $2.2 billion in the apartment space, which includes acquiring and operating close to 11,000 units.  Strictly following a value-add strategy, he has delivered over $100 million of project level profit for his investors.
In addition to his background as a real estate professional, Mr. Ring is an Emeritus member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA).  He wrote for a variety of television comedies for NBC, UPN, Saban Entertainment, VH1 and HBO where he earned a Cable ACE nomination for his work on The Larry Sanders Show.
A graduate of U.C. Berkeley in 1988, Mr. Ring went on to earn his MFA from New York University in 1992 and his MBA from UCLA Anderson in 2003.
