David grew up in the family Real Estate business in South Carolina where they built and invested in neighborhood development from the ground up.  At a young age he was exposed to every facet of the industry.  After graduating with a Business Degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, he joined the family business developing and investing in residential investment properties.  In 1999, David relocated to Los Angeles, and prior to joining Keller Williams’ Luxury Division, he had his own Real Estate and Lending Company which specialized in every aspect of Real Estate for all clients including Entertainment Industry, Sports Figures, and Developers.

Team Smith was formed to best serve the needs of buyers and sellers in this ever changing market place.  With experience in Construction, Mortgage Banking, and Real Estate sales he built a team of professionals to achieve his clients’ needs.  He works to streamline both the buying and selling process so his clients understand the process and get their desired results every time.  He has negotiated with every major lender on Short Sales and Bank Owned Properties.  He and his team are the referral of choice in LA and Ventura Counties.

David is currently a member of The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce where he serves on various committees; The President of The Citadel Alumni Association of LA County, Keller Williams’ Agent Leadership Committee.  He also is a public speaker, instructor and mentor for real estate agents.

He is also involved in numerous charities and fund raising committees such as Children’s Hospital and Loving Home Hospice for Children.
