Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation

Founded in 1981, the LAEDC was created by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to implement LA County’s economic development program through land development, project financing and marketing activities. During its history, the LAEDC has evolved from being a facilitator of the County’s industrial bond development program to being Southern California’s premier economic development organization.

The mission of the LAEDC is to attract, retain and grow businesses and jobs for the regions of LA County.

Greta Boye
Regional Manager
LAEDC

Greta Boye joined the LAEDC as Regional Manager in June 2008. She recently returned State-side after working overseas for the last 15 years with projects funded by USAID, the World Bank, other international donor agencies, and private companies. During that time, she advised foreign governments and businesses on trade and investment issues and led teams promoting economic development. Most of the challenges she faced were related to competitiveness. She has focused on creating and retaining jobs, resolving red-tape challenges, and scoping new opportunities to react to changes in the international business environment. Ms. Boye holds a MBA in International Business from George Washington University and a MS degree in Speech and Language Technology at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
