Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber is the largest Chamber in the San Fernando Valley and the 20th largest Chamber in Los Angeles County.  It was established as the Van Nuys Chamber and in 1989 merged with the Panorama City / Sepulveda Chamber to form what is known today as the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The Mission of the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber is to build community relationships; create positive perception; provide education for business; revitalize the community; promote business development and advocate for business to the government.

Nancy Hoffman Vanyek is the CEO of the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce, located in Van Nuys, California.  Starting with the Chamber in 1987 as the Communications Manager, Nancy was promoted to Program Manager in 1989, and assumed the CEO position in 1993.

Nancy is credited with the repositioning of the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce as a regional chamber for the San Fernando Valley, executing highly attended events and money making events, and creating partnerships with local governments to redevelop the downtown business corridor.

She\'s served on the board of the Southern California Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for 10 years and held the position of president in 2000.  She\'s an active member of the Western Association of Chamber Executives, completing a six year board term in 2004.  She currently serves on the foundation board for the Western Association of Chamber Executives - a group that provides scholarships and speakers for continuing education programs within the Chamber of Commerce industry.

Nancy has a BA in management from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Institute of Organization Management at Stanford.

She is married to Jim, and they are the \"proud parents\" of four, four-legged friends: Chance, Sierra, McKinley, and Shasta.
