Chip Hardy
Principal & Co-Founder, PrimeTRUST Advisors
Chip Hardy is a Principal and Co-Founder of PrimeTRUST Advisors, an independent, fee for services, retirement plan consulting and investment advisory services firm specializing as a fiduciary "coach" for plan sponsors. Mr. Hardy's employee benefit experience supporting qualified retirement plans includes money management, administration, trustee, actuarial, plan design, employee communication and investment advisory services. His over two decades of financial services experience led to the founding of PrimeTRUST advisors. Chip began his financial services career in 1989 as a commercial relationship manger with C&S bank of SC, now Bank of America. He joined the Institutional Trust division of BB&T of SC in 1999 and focused on retirement plans, asset management and corporate trust. During his time at BB&T, he was a divisional leader for all five of his years in that capacity, an acknowledgement earned by only 1% of all BB&T's consulting personnel. Chip subsequently joined American Pensions, Inc. as a Senior Vice President. In this role, he was responsible for the Sales and Marketing of their independent registered investment advisory services as well as the retirement plan administrative and record keeping services. Mr. Hardy has authored numerous articles and is widely quoted by local, regional and national periodicals. He is also active on the speaking circuit, including the Society of Human Resource Management and the Institute of Management Accountants chapters and multiple peer group conferences. Chip is a member of American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and the Retirement Advisors & Designers of America (RADA). He is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) from The Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
